Health & Healing: Nurturing Body and Soul

At detroit contemporary, we believe that creativity is intertwined with physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Our objectives include:

  1. Yoga and Meditation: Regular yoga and meditation practice and workshops will provide our community with tools to cultivate mindfulness and balance.

  2. Natural Health Clinics: We will offer monthly natural health clinics, where participants can access services such as chiropractic care, massage, acupuncture, blood labs, and more.

  3. Urban Farming and Healthy Soup Kitchen Cafe: Our commitment to urban farming includes on-site garden groups, compost collection, and workshops on creating healthy soil. This initiative connects art with sustainability and nourishment, fostering a holistic approach to well-being. Our Healthy Soup Kitchen Cafe becomes a vibrant and welcoming space where artists, musicians, performers, and other creatives and non-creatives alike can meet, discuss ideas, share thoughts, collaborate on projects and innovative concepts, engage in meaningful discussions on important societal issues, display their art, share music, and create a hub of creative and social exchange. It's a place where the community can break bread together, fostering a sense of camaraderie and unity.

  4. Support Groups: We will host support groups for various challenges, including those related to creativity, grief, depression, and spirituality, creating a safe space for healing and growth.
