Sudani Shaah was born, raised, and is currently based in the city of Detroit, MI. While also having roots in Ypsilanti, MI; she grew up traveling and living between the two cities throughout her childhood. Shaah is currently pursuing her BFA at College for Creative Studie studying under a crafts: fibers/textiles major. Shaah primarily works within crafts, hands-on mediums such as wood, metals, and fibers. While also having some experiences within digital arts. The young artist is exploring different materials and styles. With influences and subject matter dealing with her personal experiences and perspective in terms of spirituality, black feminism, nature, culture, and her own family's connection in the art community.
